I've been fishing a 300HD Lexa as my inshore stickbait set-up for a while now and love it.
The cast control, in particular, is supreme.

I fished the knock-off hookup baits this past weekend and they worked very well for the big reds. I paid $1.35 for each tube.

Nice but you should've gotten an Abyss with the blue cord to match the new reel! I have the 400 HD and the original 400.

Those hook up baits were it at channel islands last year, hope they work this year cause I have a bunch. Once you get past the rank odor anyway.. Looks like a great set up for there.

Got them from a guy on FB under the name "Oceanic Hotdogs" and they wre $27 for 20 tubes shipped.
