Hi. As i rebuild/mothball  the reels for next season. Opinions on drag washer replacement. I have both teflon as well as ht100 as well as carbontx washers. Do i go original stock or new materials. I am fishing light braid on reels these days with mono leaders.

How does the drags feel now ?     I would try a clean up first .

These are small ultralight reels — with the exception of the 720.

Typically, one can either do factory Teflon or CF.

Teflon will hold up just fine for the fish brought in with these reels.

CF will improve it slightly — go ahead and make them serviced and ready to fish — try them out to see how they fish and feel — then do your personal preference.

714, 716, and 420, I would keep the teflon drag washers.  720, I switched them to HT-100s.
:D I talk with every part I send out and each reel I repair so that they perform at the top of their game. :D
