mom called an hour ago.  dad passed away in his sleep somewhere between 6 and 6:30.  my nephew is there now, ed will be going there tomorrow, and i will be headed down on saturday.  i got off the boat a couple of days ago and headed straight to the farm with a load of fish.  dad was in good spirits, but he was having more frequent chest pain that was likely due to his worsening kidney function. mom cut up some yellowtail sashimi and i grilled a collar we had a really nice dinner and then i drove home.  when i spoke to mom yesterday, she said that dad was having a really hard time, so we planned on visiting over the weekend. glad i went to see them when  did.

Leave the gun.  Take the cannolis.

There are two things I don't like about fishing.  Getting up early in the morning and boats.  The rest of it is fun.

Sue's and my condolences, Alan —

You know we are not far from the farm.

If there is ANYTHING we can do to help —

Just pick up the phone —

Glad you got a little time with Dad a couple of days ago — and over the last two years.

How is Mom doing?

Best Always,
