Pin puncher

It's not perfect, but it works great.  I cut the slots with a dremel cutting wheel, then drilled a hole, inserted a stainless steel pin, and braised it in place.

It allows you to provide an exact amount of pressure. The hole you see was a botched first attempt.

Nice, I modified a needle-nose vice grip the way you showed way back when(a cut slot on the end of one of the jaws), but you still gotta finish pulling the pin completely out with pliers.

Did the drill bit survive, or is it now a duller wood bit🤔.

What pin pusher tool does everyone here use? I am curious what most here use and how they hold up. I have the Bocca pin pliers. They work ok, but I had a couple pins go flying using it. The pin was stuck, I added pressure slowly, it popped loose and shot out, vanishing into thin air!
I have a couple different pin tools on order to try out, the Hedgehog tool, and the Daiwa SLP pin tool. I am thinking the threaded tools may not send one flying like the pliers if a pin is tight. What is your favorite/preferred pin tool?
