Abu Garcia 5600 C4 HSC

Hi All
I bought an Abu 5600 on a whim as I loved the colour

C4 means it has 4 bearings but
Can anyone tell me what HSC stands for

Most likely High Speed Centrifugal. Centrifugal meaning brake.

It is a "casting" reel, HSC is for High Speed Casting.

Great reel. But be careful with those high speed gears. You can shred the gears fairly easily if you fish a tight drag for big fish -- as people do for salmon up here.

40# Spectra.

I'd say 20# x8 braid or 30# spectra. But I always go as light as I can get away with

I think the pawn shop duped me
They advertised a 5600 c4 hsc
I stripped it down to clean and it's not hsc
Not impressed but still happy I have a neat reel

Even though you still ended up with a good reel, they had it listed under a pic of a different reel? That's false advertising and really not ok.
