Kids Trip 8/10

Hosted a 3/4d last Sunday on the Clemente out of Dana Pt, mostly to get friends & their families out on the water.

We stayed shallow working the ARs to the south, ending up in front of the ol Western White House.

Slow pickins for the usual suspects until just before lunchtime when we stopped in 45' and the bass came up to greet us, aquarium style.

Needless to say, the "kids" (younger & older) had a blast w/every bait getting chased & devoured for nxt couple of hrs.

Not a whole lot of keepers but those who wanted took a handful of filets home.

Capt Mauricio, Nick & Brendan of the Clemente were a pleasure to fish with. I rode the boat earlier this year and it fit the bill perfectly, especially the low rise bait tank for munchkins & roomy galley.

Pulled out gear from yesteryear to give the next gen a taste of what it was like back in the day...🤣

Kept it small for this trial run, we got em out of the house & off their cell phones for a day. Maybe get a few of y'all interested next year!

That looks like a great time, and looks like the weather was in your favor!  If you do that again post it up; I am used to only being out with cranky old geezers so helping young ones get into fishing would be a pleasant change. - john
