After pulling a disappearing act a couple weeks ago it seems the fleet has found the bft again and they are a great size!

Hopeful they stay on them!

In the last few seasons I've been trying to minimize the tackle I bring and maximize my efficiency. Took some time today and got my tackle organized.

For my back to back trips I'm bringing a single tackle bag with 3 3600 sized trays and two jig wallets which also fit inside the bag. One tray has hooks, one has a mix of snipers, yo-yo jigs, surface irons and tuna ready paddletails. The last tray is filled with assist hooks for the knife jigs. The jig wallets are full of jigs of course.

I will have one 3700 tray filled with backup jigs stashed in my reel bag.

I'll be running 80-130# wind-on leaders on all my rods above 80# as I've moved away from heavy duty bite leaders with lots of line snagging jewelry. I do have a few 200# wind-ons in case the big boys show up.

I'm also going to try trolling and drifting a floating flying fish to see if that gets bit.

Still have to inspect my rods and eyelets, verify my braid is in good condition, add solid rings to my wind-ons and start figuring out what clothes to pack....

Anyone else starting to get prepped...

Last year was my first trip and I used barely any tackle but I'd really hate to need something and not have it. I could have fit everything I used in one pocket lol.
