HT 100 question

I receievd my order of HT-100s to replace the washers in my Okumas.  I noticed that these washers have tabs on the outter edges. Is there a need to remove these or does it mater?

you can keep the tabs on if it doesn't interfere with anything.  If in doubt, just cut them off.
