Time to thin the herd

I have come to the conclusion that I have a bunch of reels that are sitting in boxes that I will likely never use. No meaningful collector value, mishmash of 1950s-70s spinning reels, going to try to get down to maybe 15-20 reels at each house, tailored to the fishing in that area...point being, don't have a burning need for big saltwater reels in OH but I need a couple in FL.

I am going to start dribbling them onto the big auction site and see if they get any traction, although it's really not about the money as much as simplifying and decluttering. If I don't do any good I'll look for a "teach a kid to fish" group or something along those lines.

The next couple of weeks will tell the tale.

Spinning reel from 1950-1970 sound like lots of DQ and Mitchell but I 'm looking for some Johnson Century
