I know many here collect vintage reels for display, only, which I get, but I'm a different type of collector.

I love to stripdown my vintage beauties and see what makes em tick!

I also love to put them to use, just to experience their different nuances.
Each reel being unique in retrevial, ergonomics, drag, etc.

Here a just a few of my rarer reels that see frequent use.

1962 Rogue M150's with zippered cases, spare spools, and manuals.

1946 Rudipech Lasso's with manual and original card box.

1948 Helion spin reels.

1936 Dennis Ward Hardy Altex no.2 mk.IIII mechanical gear bail.
The reel, itself, not being too rare, but the transparent spool, is the only one I've ever seen.

1940 Croizix le Soie spin reel.

All fish magnificently!

Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri

I'd love to see some other members pictures of vintage reels in use!

Peace!!

I have all of the answers, yup, no, maybe.

Thanks. I've put up a YouTube video of the reel in action, some years ago.
Search "Rudipech Lasso" pretty wild reels.

Very nice! Never seen any of those, and cooler to see them putting crappies on the deck .

Very cool Woodbilly! Never even heard of any of those reels, but they look great! All my reels get used too, but all are common reels from the 80s and 90s. Oldest is a Dam Quick probably from the 70s. Thanks for sharing.
