Well I went to the local antique mall looking for a Daiwa 1300 that was on Marketplace for $15.I have been before & walked the entire mall & never found it. So this time I had the ad pulled up on my phone showed it to the owner & it took him some digging through the PC to find the location. So after 20 min of searching  an associate took me straight to the spot & it looked great, however the A/R was not working & marked $25? The ad appeared to be a lot of reels for $15,but then hidden in the back of the booth I spotted a 2062 EC missing a spool, also needs a bail & trip lever spring. The owner had to call the seller to get a price...$15.The paint looks pretty good so hopefully I can get all the parts to make it complete again, or use it for parts. For 3 fins it was a no brainer.

Ok now, side by side, EF on the left EC on the right can you spot a difference? The correct answer may be worth something :fish

OK the bail screws were loose & the spring came unhooked, the trip lever spring is good just dirty.

Now for the 14mm rotor nut, it  has righthand threads so loosens counter-clockwise, whoever designed this bail spring & decided to bend the tab up  under the nut must have had a liquid lunch that day. The rotor has a detent on both sides for the tabs to be seated in, if the nut is tightened proper plus the drag knob holding the spool on the spindle how could it go anywhere if the nut did work loose for some reason. It appears to just need a spool & a backup bail spring

And down the rabbit hole you go...see ya at the bottom!

Next thing we know you'll have a whole tote full of 2062s.
