I am a new member and finally got around to joining. For many years i have read posts and learned so much from this site. I collect and hot rod reels mostly Penn but others as well. It almost feels like I know many of the guys in the Penn section even though this is my first post ever. Thought i would finally say hello and thank you for everything i have learned from everyone over the years.

Thank you everyone. I grew up trout fishing in the mountains of West Virginia. All my family on dad's side fished. Dad was more of a cat fisherman. We took trips to the beach every summer. Each year i fished from piers, party boats, and the surf. I take my 2 daughters now to our uncle's beach house. I also like to LBSF. Penn reels were a big part of growing up and even though I've bought modern gear, I still have and fish with all the reels of my youth.

Welcome aboard. Or, I guess, congrats on transitioning from stowaway to crew member.

It all sounds about right. I think you'll do just fine around here.

So. Have you started eyeballing aftermarket upgrades yet? Or does that take a bit longer for those effects to set in?
Any machine is a smoke machine if you use it wrong enough.
