Crab Pot

Been thinking about getting another aluminum boat and stumbled across this 1986 Klamath Alaskan with the bullet proof 28hp Johnson SPL motor for $600. Needs some love and I need something to work on. It's been sitting for three years, former owner passed away and his kids are just now clearing out his stuff.

Intent is beach launches, SF Bay, Delta, local rivers, and lakes chasing whatever.

If anyone has a Raymarine Dragonfly 7 for sale let me know!

I pick it up in Nevada on Friday.

Steve
Buy it nice or buy it twice.

Nice!  I have always liked this hull.
Hi, my name is Lee and I have a fishing gear problem.

I have all of the answers, yup, no, maybe.

I'm excited on your behalf. Trailer looks pretty ok. Maybe bring a spare tire, or 4

Like the way the bow sweeps up kind of like a Panga. Good looking boat. Enjoy.

Two rules on the boat
1. Fish where the fish are
2. See rule #1

Steve, do not go to pick up the boat without a set of bearings for the trailer and at a minimum some grease.  Pray for zerk fittings. If it does not have zerk fittings, pull the wheels and grease before starting out.  From Reno to Citrus Heights is a long haul for a trailer without maintenance.  Any other work can wait until you get home.  Dominick
Leave the gun.  Take the cannolis.

There are two things I don't like about fishing.  Getting up early in the morning and boats.  The rest of it is fun.

Also a tire pressure gage. Thinkin 'bout it, a trailer dosen't get as much use as a passenger vehicle. But don't know about the build on trailer bearings. Seems like the seals should be made well for backing into water, but ya never know.

Looks great. I really like a tiller steer outboard on that size of boat ... really increases the amount of room and easier to steer ..... something to consider down the road. Have fun and enjoy.

Is it tiller steering? Looks like a side console.
Can have plenty of fun in a boat like that

$600 ? Wow Steve, you stole it. A guy can't even buy an old crusty Penn 16/0 for $600  :d
