"We have most likely been driving over them on the way to where the albacore are."

What makes you think that?

What makes you think that?

Water temperature, rips and that is where the few that have been caught  were.

Sveral years ago the weather liars
"predicted" fair ocean conditions.  When we got to where the albacore were the ocean was a bit "sporty".  Within a few hours the wind shifted and big wind waves started 45° from the 6-8 foot swell.  We decided it was not fun and started back to shore.  The ocean conditions made running over 6 knots painful so  I figured why not troll back in.  I put a large XRap on and set it further back than we fish for albacore.  Shortly after something took my lure that I could not stop.  Shark? Tuna?  No telling what it was but it was acting more like a larger tuna than a shark.
Hi, my name is Lee and I have a fishing gear problem.
