My 1494 spool was falling off and i realized that the spindle block was missing. Looked for a replacement part or just a frame with no avail. I realized that the spool lock just needed a slotted stop. Found a small short screw, think its threaded on spindle and loctited to spindle. Works like a charm. Will see if it holds else will jb weld. I feel like a MacGiver moment!

I hate putting things in landfills and a 1494 frame and spool is now well above 30$. Plus i already had an extra four 1494 spools.
