My 2nd CarGem Mignon arrived today...dustiest reel I have ever unboxed, looked like it came out of a barn. Interesting differences between this and my existing Mignon. One has a metal spool, the other some sort of fibrous material. Emblem on one, not the other, body casting is different and the one without the emblem has a bigger foot.

Yeah, there were quite a few different variations and colors in the Cargem 33/UL Mignons over the years they were in production.
Love those open face spinning reels! (Especially ABU & ABU/Zebco Cardinals)

Ha, I did exactly the same thing.

Those Italians sure made pretty reels!

One of the first steaks that we eat when we get a half a beef is the filets. We're about due to order a half beef and a whole hog for the freezer. Now you've get me thinking about food, not fishing reels.

But how is their steak?
The Bistecca Fiorentina looks pretty good!

This thread is making me hungry. Nothing beats prime rib on the rotisserie

I'd be interested to know HOW the Italians, artists in everything, do steak. THAT Bistecca Fiorentina looks scrumptious.
Fishing tackle is an art form and all fish caught on the right tackle are"Gfish"!

Me too! My son had it in Italy and said the one he had was super super thick. Kind of charred on outside and rare in the middle.

One of the best steaks I ever had was in Milan.

Best steak I ever ate was right here at home.

I would like to apologize to cincydavid for my role in derailing his otherwise interesting thread.

But I do love a good steak and these all look spectacular.
