700 bail arm bumper?

Is this the bail arm bumper,nothing was in the hole? Is something missing?

Also,there is an indentation on the OEM bearing does orientation matter?

If you have any rubber left in the cup you can extent usefulness by adding a small o-ring on the backside before inserting.

A small amount of glue may help retain it.

Bearing can go either way (as far as I know),....pack it with thinned grease if you can.

I ordered a bail bumper before I found the original in the box. Some Google photos appear to have different configurations of bail bumpers?

That bearing has a snap ring groove , it can go in either way .
