Hi there,

Since this is my first message/question on this site, a short introduction of myself:
My name is Joost, 27 years old and I'm from The Netherlands/Holland. My main target fish is pike, but I also fish for Zander and Perch.

Now my problem is this:
I own a Tica Thalos baitcasting reel, but the AR bearing doesn't seem to do what it's supposed to do.
There's some backlash and sometimes I hit right through it, so the handle turns backward.
Since Tica is really small in Holland I was looking for a replacement bearing and saw that Shimano has the same kind of bearings in their low profile reels.
It should be hexagonal as shown:

Now...the size of my bearing is:
ID (outside bus): 10mm
OD: 16mm
OD on the 'bumps'?: 17mm
Width: 10mm

Can anyone tell me which Shimano AR Bearing has the same measurements?

Thnx a lot in advance!

Cheers,
Joost

ps: I'm sorry for any mistakes, my English just isn't perfect.

G'day and welcome Joost.
I've inquired with my local supplier and should hear back today.
If they've got one, I can post it over.
Cheers, Justin
PS The sleeve should probably be replaced at the same time.
Best have a close look at it for any sign of wear etc...

Hi Justin,

Thanks a lot, but actually I'm only looking for a partnumber.
I think sending such a small part isn't worth the money (sending from N-Z to NL will be pretty expensive I suppose).
If anyone can tell me a partnumber, I can order it through a service point over here, that'll be a lot cheaper I guess...

The sleeve is, just like the bearing, as good as new. Only used for 4 or 5 times yet. (So the bearing just s*cks haha)

Cheers,
Joost

Sure - up to you.
The part number/name is '2YZ-007-01 – One-way clutch bearing assembly'.
I can get it for NZ$10, plus ~$5 for postage - about 10 euro all up.
Cheers, Justin

Pro Reel

Shimano BNT 3947 is 16 mm wide at flats and 17 mm wide at corners
it's a little shorter than yours at 8 mm tall, but that would still work as i have done that before, it will just have a little more of the sleeve protruding.
the inside is 10.04 mm on my scale by measuring the OD of the sleeve, that may be off a bit due to a low quality scale

you can try it to see if it works, the sleeve would not work without mods as shiman sleeve have key tabs on the bottom, the shimano sleeve is BNT 3474, you could just cut / grind the key tabs off the bottom

Hope this helps

You will not  get a better offer than that from Justin. For 10 Euro you are getting the proper Tica part. Personally I would replace the Inner Tube ( 2A4-022-01) too and make a proper job of it.

You could try Shelby who is a poster on here and represents Isutami Bearings as he may have a RCB your size.
