h the fact I have been around precision machinery for years made this prevention  maintenance fun.

What do/did you do?  I was a millwright/powerhouse mechanic for many years, then I got a good job with the Alaska Marine Highway.

I have owned many CNC machines including a 5 axis gantry multi-function machining center w/ 130' x axis. When the German Mfg opted to drop the line we were forced to do all our own maintenance. I think tearing down a 100 hp liquid cooled servo spindle with hydraulic tool clamping is easier since the parts are not so fragile.

I hear lots of people complaining about how the new Penn offshore reel are junk since they are made in china. from what i saw they are VERY well made. But then I live in PA too! ;D
