These "99" and 300c parts are going to NorcalPescador- I shot/baked them with Brownells Alumahyde to pretty them up, should be pretty durable finsh too, has good scratch and corrosion resistance. Ive done a few gun receivers and barrels with the stuff and was pretty happy with it for the price and easy application.  Still waiting on my Cerakote kit.

Those parts look as good as new. Maybe better

I have not failed.  I just found 10,000 ways that won't work.

I like the matte black finish. Now if I can keep from trying to make it shine. ;D ::)

Measure once, cut twice. Or is it the other way around? ::)

:D I talk with every part I send out and each reel I repair so that they perform at the top of their game. :D

wow.  that stuff looks winnahs.  gonna have to look Alumahyde up.  thanks for sharing.

Sorry to kinda go off topic, are the 300c plates aluminum?  do they take the penn 500 style spool ends or the 505 style spool ends?

aloha

I think the 300c plates are plastic- or something similar

they have bearing-cups in either side like a 505, so I wonder if you can run the bearings out a bit and use 505 spool?

I dunno
