I have some parts that need some ID...I think these are original Penn International 50 drag parts??? O.D. about 3 1/4"...O.D. of the center plate is abpout 2"...I.D. of drag washer is about 2"...I.D. of center plate about 3/4" ... I have a couple of each and would like to ID and maybe find a home... These are the original/old international 50 drive plate assembly (drag parts).  The fact that it is difficult to find carbon fiber donuts to replace the old (asbestos 6-50) material limits their usefulness.  There are still some 6/1-50 and 6a-50 CF finite discs floating around out there, but most people who are upgrading likely do not need to replace the other drag assembly parts, or more frequently opt to replace the entire works with the newer DuraDrag (117-dn50).

I have a bag full of these and 80s as well.

The following was taken from PennParts website:

IMPORTANT FOR 50, 50W:PENN replaced this original 6-50 asbestos drag washer with (6/1-50) then (6A-50), both used with drive plates (117-50) for the International series reels, then later on replaced those entirely with a combined drive plate, model #117DN-50.

And here is a link to their table summarizing design modifications to drag-related parts in the older international 50 and 80 reels...

Maybe someone has a bag of parts that he is trying to make a complete reel outta and lacks this assembly, but usually the missing puzzle piece on rebuilding these old internationals is the reel stand, which was prone to failure in these post models.

I have one of those for an International 30, if anyone needs it.
