Craig Nels with Rapala(VMC, Williamson, storm, etc) donated a bunch of shirts for the trip!

Covered? Heck, you got me surrounded!

Four days and a wakeup. I'm like a 6 year old wondering if Christmas will EVER get here. Not looking forward to the cross-country flight, however. But I am looking forward to meeting everyone and getting in some serious fishing. Somebody please bribe the weatherman.

yesterday i had joey put together an original penn 99, a jigmaster 99 full on accurate conversion, a standard jigmaster, and four of alan chui's omoto narrow spool 700's.  the grand prize is a penn 114h with high speed gears from sal and a gen II gear sleeve kit, a 5/0 grip and ss arm, and a tiburon narrow frame and spool.

we also have

- hats from phenix
- hats and shirts from okuma
- hats, shirts and work pads from boca bearings
- a shirt, fathom reel and revenge rod from penn
- spectra, hats, shirts and 20% off coupons from jerry brown
- shirts from pure fishing/rapala
- laser minnows from p-line
- and an entire bucket of homemade jigs from a local friend, rick berg

joey and i were talking about a possible format for the reel giveaways.  we are thinking about one hour "vintage penn" or "laser minnow" challenges, meaning the biggest fish to the gaff during a 1 hour block to win a reel, and we have seven small ones.  for the 6/0 senator, we would like to have a "rick berg" challenge.  here's a little example of what you can do with a laser minnow!

Show-off!  ::) But I'm bringing three vintage spinners.   ;)

The goodies sound awesome... it's been a lo-o-o-o-ng wait, but we're almost there!  :D

I don't suffer from insanity... I enjoy every minute of it!  :D

Then I guess I'll have to bring my vintage YTS!  I was bringing only newer high tech stuff.

That is a nice list for giveaways and contests, like the "block" layout for the winners.

Thanks Alan!!!
I don't know how to do everything, but I know how to get everything done.

alantani

oh, and for the reels, you can only win once.  we've got some ringers on the boat.   ;D

How about a fishing for "pinks" contest, as in pink slips.  You have to put up your reel that you are fishing with. Biggest gets them all.  How many ugly 155s withh corroded metal spools or 85s with bakelite spols can there be?

Since I'll be fishing with "loaners", I'm all for this idea  :)
