What are LB gears?

Forget about all the reasons why something may not work. You only need to find one good reason why it will.

If we are going the route of a jigmaster with this, maybe after that we could go for a 3/0 sized reel and use the double dog jigmaster bridge for it so we don't have to make a double dog 3/0 bridge..... Although a double dog 3/0 stainless bridge would be nice.....

Actually, we have another plan on other reel which will use the JigMaster stuffs. You just have to wait until then.

That will be fun to see.. Just make sure you keep us posted when the 4/0 sized reels are ready to order....

You might go into mass production with these reels.

I think 100 sets will be more than enough just for this site's members

We are going to have 4 colors available as following:

1.) Silver
2.) Black
3.) Red (not too light)
4.) Green (not too light).

sundaytrucka

I want to claim a green.

...Would anybody buying a silver set be interested in trading spools? I want a green with silver spool, if the counter would be into a silver with green spool. Just want to put it out there.
I don't know how to do everything, but I know how to get everything done.

Is the spool and frame the same diameter as a 113 ? I know Alan said the kit is based on the 113H with a 1.75" wide spool, I am just curious if the finished reel is more (or less) compact with 113H internal stuff.

Mike
It can't be too difficult - a lot of people do it.

Mike, as I understand it, you should be able to use stock guts from Penn or Alan's custom parts:  as for bridge, jack, yoke and gears.
On the Super Narrow of course you won't have a choice with the spool, you will need Alan's custom spool, but on the standard and wide, you should be able to use stock spools from Penn.
Keep in mind, Penn only has two colors ( when available ) for the standard and wide, black and red.
That was the original plan, but this is still at the beginning stages, so anything could change.
The Super Narrow is due in first with other widths to follow, but that would be up to Alan.

LH! My bad!
If you'll use your left-hand guts for that reel, I don't see why not.
I don't see custom left-hand gears being made from Alan, he would need lots of request and there aren't many asking.

Thanks Sal, I didn't realise (or forgot?) there were standard width versions in the pipeline that will use standard diameter spools.
