...all the way from Oz! :D

I didn't ask for it; this is just another example of the incredible thoughtfulness and generosity of the AT folks. THANK YOU so much, Wallace! I even switched out the stock trebles for Needle-sharp Owner 5/0 singles and only stabbed myself in the thumb once.   :P

Cannot wait to throw this at some Alijos 'hoos or tuna or YTs... "BITER!!"   ;D

That is a nice looking jig.

What is the size and weight?

I don't know how to do everything, but I know how to get everything done.

Scott, it's 130mm/5.125" / 80g/2.82 oz. Melton Tackle has 'em in lots of colors: http://www.meltontackle.com/products/halco-max-130.html  :)

Goodonya Wallace, tidy work.
Good lures those, we use them on bluefin and albacore down here.
Also a massive fan of the Halco DD 190 in King Brown colour.
The 'hoos will lap the above lure up.

Yay! Wallace.  That's the way to make points.  Dominick
Leave the gun.  Take the cannolis.

There are two things I don't like about fishing.  Getting up early in the morning and boats.  The rest of it is fun.

Gulf of Mexico tuna seem to love them. Aiala, people around here have had mixed results with changing the hooks on a Halco 130 to singles. They seem to feel that the action is changed and they feel they lose more fish. Good luck. I have a few I changed the hooks on but haven't had a chance to try them.

David, perhaps that's so (although I have my doubts), but I really don't like trebles and losing the occasional fish doesn't break my heart... (much.)  ;)

Aiala, I'm like you.  The fish gets off oh well back to fishing.  On the other hand my friend Joe goes ballistic.  He does his sailor routine and makes me turn red with his colorful language.  Wayne tells me Joe is the only guy he knows that will throw out an f bomb seven times in one sentence.  Usually I very calmly say Joe tell us how you really feel and that gets him laughing.  We were fishing for tarpon in the mangrove sloughs out by the airport in San Juan, PR.  We are live lining a small silver fish for bait when Joe hooks in a Tarpon that was in the 80 lb class.  That fish came fully out of the water and I was thrilled.  Within a minute the fish was off.  Joe went from shock into a tirade which contained every foul bomb under the sun.  Captain Omar grabbed the line and looked at the little curl where the line became untied at the hook.  He looked at Joe and said next time don't let your captain tie the hook.  I almost fell off the boat laughing.  Joe is a very funny guy and that got him laughing.  We all have these stories.  Dominick

Those Aussie lures have been the hot ticket off the So Cal/Baja coast for about 3 years now. The BFT love them, and BFT are not huge fans of trolled anything in these waters but bite the Halco's better than any trolling lure that I have seen.

Time to rip some lips.

I got two BFT this past summer on cedar plugs, so yeah, there are lures that work other than the Halcos!
