Well I just got back from my annual trip to FT Morgan....
Land based Shark fishing was a complete bust. Had a slow run one eve right before dark. Cranked it all the way into the sandbar with ease. As soon as it hit the sand bar it started screaming drag off. I was using the Dom/Tom 9/0 I built so I just tightened the drag up and cranked it right back in with ease. I thought it was acting funny all the sudden I was already at my leader and no shark in sight?? That's when I realized I had someone else's old rig snagged up with mine! All the sudden Dolphins started surfacing everywhere and then the drag started ripping again as a 6 plus foot dolphin started launching into the air. He was tangled in someone's old shark leader and had about 100 yards of braid wound up on him. We got him back to the bar and was able to free him of the braid. So no sharks. I did make a trip 5 miles out we got a three mans limit on some dandy Snapper so it was a great trip.

I don't know what Is more amazing. Untangling the line from the Dolphin, or Kayaking 5 miles out to catch those Huge Snapper! :o
Great work. I can't wait to go to the beach again. :(

oh no dude! I didn't kayak out for the snapper. Lol I went with a local guy "Tom's Coastal Adventures" sorry wasn't clear on that. But under good conditions with experienced company I'm not opposed to that at all. Lol

Oh Ya,  that's some good food Jason!
There is nothing like lying flat on your back on the deck, alone except for the helmsman aft at the wheel, silence except for the lapping of the sea against the side of the ship. At that time you can be equal to Ulysses and brother to him.
