STRIPER LOU

4/0 Senator with Ted's YTS kit and an angled Tbar. I'm a big fan of the YTS's and Max's kit is my absolute favorite! I lost track of how many I've purchased.

This knob had been on my bench for almost a year and finished it up around 6am Saturday morning for the show.

I don't make many of this style as my limited equipment makes me use an unorthodox setup. Not difficult or unsafe but more time consuming. Occasionally I'll make them on special order when I have a lot of time on my hands, Ha!

Internals are fairly simple, steel gear, upgraded drags, 29-66 spool, externally Ted's Kit, Scotts Parts, Alan's arm polished, Adam's star (jeweled) and the Tbar is light/dark green pearl, at around a 10 deg offset. Because it was going to the show, I decided on new rings. It takes (2) 2-113-O's. Same as the non handle side on the 113H. Remember to check the inner ID for fit and also check if there is enough clearance for the countersunk ring. I had to use an 82 deg countersink on the sideplates for extra clearance so the ring would sit flat.

I was suppose to bring a handful of reels to the show but somehow it ended up being a couple boxes. They were a big hit all around with lots of questions and I think we even got some drooling.
Richard accompanied me and we serviced and or repaired 17 reels. All went well but one Ambassadeur was a bit of a bugger, but we got it.

Also marked and spooled a bunch of wire line and sold a good amount of tackle. Wrapped it up at 5:30 and it was a bit tiring but lots of fun.

Thanks to all who supplied the Custom parts that make these reels so special.

Have a great day,  ..  Lou

Forget about all the reasons why something may not work. You only need to find one good reason why it will.
