Going through my dads fishing equipment I pulled out some of the reels I plan to rehab.  A South Bend oren-o-matic. Two ambassadeur 5000 circa late 60s early 70s, a Diawa millionaire 3H and a Mitchell 306. There is also a 302 but it is toast.  I may never fish with any of these again but they deserve to age in good working order.

Nice reels, James --

A complete disassembly, cleaning, modern lubrication, and new drags -- will likely bring them all back to better than original.

If you don't fish them, consider making a display of "Dad's Reels" for posterity and memories of something he loved to do.

Thanks Fred.  That top ambassadeur is actually mine.  I remember when dad took me to buy it. It was a big deal back then.  I think it was 71or 72.  T
I wonder if the middle one has an after market handle. I can't believe I used that small handle.

Those are all common handles, James --

Easy enough to mix or match because most are standardized drive sleeve size.
