It may not be very productive,
but it's sure going to be interesting!

Your pinion gear is frozen to the spool shaft. I'll bet you  were not able to shift the reel into free spool either, right? If this is the problem, you'll need to soak the pinion gear to break its bond to the spool shaft. Don't put too much pressure on the gear; I doubt you'll find a new one...

Thanks, Joe. Check is in the mail!  :)

I have a "hangar queen" and I may be able to make one good one out of the two.

I  have more tham fifty of the 855/875lc now.

For fresh water they work great! Salmon/walleye/muskie

GOT RID OF THE REEL

Sorry, is that some kind of foreign language? Reels HAVE to be accumulated ;D

Swapped some parts around and now I have another "good Reel' and a still have a donor with a few less parts on it.

I did a count and I have 29 of the 855lc. And 23 of the 875lc  1 895lc.  53 total ( incl the parts reel)

When we fish walleye we have 12 of them in use/ Atlantic salmon/lake trout  up to 14. King salmon we use 4 on dipsey.

These reels are getting close to 20 years old and parts are getting slim. But for what we use them for they work great. I can make them last for another 20 years.
