    One of these we got up,  butt one broke the line!    oh well?   Makes you wander???

Broke line??? Dominick had about 130lb test on it when I sent it back....

...ya don't normally see a halibut rod that doubled over... nor half way up the guides in the drink neither..

I was standing right here when both Dominick & Gary hit the rail with their rods dipped into the cold Icy Strait Waters.

Happened to me as well.

LOVE'd our time with Gary in Glacier Bay National Park waters.  To quote Arnold, "We'll be BACK!!!"

So far there are no requests for the Tank.  I am taking it to Baja in Nov.  There is a Wahoo tournament on Nov. 12th and another any fish on the 13th.  Anyone can have it before or after then.  Dominick

I have 2 10 days coming up. I bet I could catch a Wahoo or two on the tank, or my tanked out ProGear 545 w/ double dogs and a 7 stack drag. Not that you need a tanked out reel for Wahoo but it doesn't hurt.

I might put my hand up for another Swordfish attempt in far southern latitudes. From say late Feb-April?

'Back in the day' we used to handl line Halibut with anywhere from 150 to 250 lb cord. Just didn't have the tackle to fish them. Used to fish out of the big life boats the destroyers had at the time. We'd be laying back getting rocked to sleep with your arm over the side slowly jigging your herring when all of a sudden someone's feet would be in the air as a big fish would hit and just about pull your shoulder out as it pulled down over the gunnel. Used to get a few rope burns on your hands too and break offs too when tired fishers tied the line off. Some huge fish back then. Nothing like a 4" thick fillet is there?
