STRIPER LOU

Hi All, I'd like to think I'm getting caught up but still have a stiff backlog.

I am making progress though but still many more hours of work to go.
We are continuously trying new things and working on improvements. Sal had brought to my attention that a few of the knobs he had worked on were on the tight side. We have changed the tolerance by .0005 and have added a honing operation to the tube to make it super smooth. If you should have one that you think may be a bit tight, please PM me and we'll be glad to take care of it for you.

Acrylic is a type of plastic and is quite durable. It exhibits a clarity and beauty that is almost unsurpassed. It lends itself well to mixing and the color combinations are endless. It can also be repolished if necessary.

That being said, if you are an extreme user, say one who fishes from the rocks or yak's, this may not be for you.
The initial testing was pretty involved and around 2 dozen pcs were tried by local fisherman. The results were very good and I was pleasantly surprised how well they stood up. I have them on most of my YTS's and those are the reels that get the most use. In addition to working well, they always draw attention at the dock.

In the shop, if I display them, they seldom last the day.

Most of these pictured are for local customers, a few for the AT site members, and I'm actually going to keep a few for myself this time around!

There's a few new shapes in the pile and I'm working on another which I hope to post up soon.

If there is anyone I have not responded to, I apologize as its been quite busy. Please be so kind to re PM me so I wont loose track of you.
Please let me know if you need any additional information.
Thanks and have a great evening,  ..  Lou

Beautiful work Lou....

....I notice some different shapes and one shape I haven't seen before in that first pic, 3rd down on far left.....could you elaborate a bit about the different shape ??

Wow, they look great, never seen a fishing reel off the store shelf have knobs like that.

Ted, the 3rd one down from the top left is the original fatboy but with a full bullet radius on each end. Muck larger in diameter than the standard.

The 3 rd from the bottom is like the old accurate/tani style which has 2 different angles, a short and a long plus off centered.

I have a few more new shapes but I haven't been able to finish them up.

.............Thanks,  ..  Lou

The beauty part of custom is they can be made in just about any shape desired as long the style doesn't compromise the strength of the material.

Those look sharp Lou. Hearing how you can't keep up, I'm sure they're all sold already.

Nice job!

Sal
Forget about all the reasons why something may not work. You only need to find one good reason why it will.

Second row from the left, 3rd one up is called silhouette. Grayish black with silver and grey pearl. New color. It goes with just about anything. I have one blank left.
Mike, your red ribbon swirl is in there.

Really like that orange and black speckled one, but they're all spectacular.

STRIPER LOU

Thanks for all the comments. They are most appreciated.

They are customer orders, all sold and I still need to get too another 18pcs. Sal, thanks for your input on these!

I now have 48 pearlescent colors available for mixing in the shop. As soon as I get a break I'll be back to them again.

Really hot on the starburst pattern as it's truly amazing. As far as I know there is no one that has been able to mix this yet with any consistency. I'm getting very close!

All have a great evening,  ..  Lou

Lou, I hope you have a chance to catch some stripers...and get out of that basement.
