   Yes everyday is different.   Thats why some of us go fishing possibly?     Calm water makes it easier.   
  Here is another fun filled video from the springtime near where we live.   Notice the fish seemed to be harpooned perfectly.   Maybe it was a fault in the Penn Reel?    Or sumpin???

Looks like you didn't get it all the way in the 1st try. You certainly slammed it home the 2nd time!

Fish just slipped that tip before it could open up, straight in and straight out.

  Yes I think it did not toggle over,  like maybe wasnt thru the bottom side and just stick in the hide.   The hole was made quite large tho,   after fileting the prize some meat was wasted in the trimming.
      Practice makes perfect,   I must practice more. 

I can come up and observe your harpooning technique and see if I can find anything wrong.    Dominick

In the end you got the fish. That dude had no interest in dying that day. Hope it tasted fantastic.

As an aside, I really enjoy your videos, your boat always has a place for everything and everything in its place. Makes it easy for you to work through issues like this one. I have a few junior sailors I would like you to talk to.

Ron you are right on.  I experienced it first hand.  Gary has the boat outfitted to catch and secure fish.  No matter where you are standing on the boat if you need a knife, a short rope, a gaff, a hook to catch the fishes mouth it is right where you need it.  Notice in the butt man's video he just turns and reaches for what he needs and it is right there.  Dominick
