Waiting on my new drag washer set to start disassembly of the reel.  Looking forward to get going on it. It's been neglected squeeks like crazy when the handle is turned. Any advice on working on this reel ?

Also working on a Daiwa Firewolf never heard of it until  my buddy gave it to me to service. Drag washers looked like felt and were rotten and the stack was seized.

the calcutta probably has a dry AR bearing.  both the calcutta and daiwa would benefit from a drag upgrade.   it's what we do!!!!!   ;D

No advice for workin on the Calcutta,  as I've never had one in my hands. I've heard good things about them though, supposed to be onea Shimano's best round baitcasters. Does yours gotta levelwind system?
Fishing tackle is an art form and all fish caught on the right tackle are"Gfish"!

ah, it's basically straight in, straight out.  the only trick is putting the side plate on at the end.  the thumb bar has to be in the "up" position.  it's easiest if the kick lever for the thumb bar is also in the "down" position.
