How can you tell the manufacturing year of these 300 series ? by serial number ?

From '39 to '89, various versions were produced in France.

Many of the versions are ID'd by specific components (crank knobs, A/R exterior lever & interior mechanisms, screws diameters, spool configuration, word font, bail type, etc..).

Over the years of production as well as reel owners needs — parts were routinely changed out for newer
ones, or older — since most would change straight across with no issues.
