How rare are white Newell parts? I have only seen bars and reel seats for them, never side plates. Whats yalls opinion?

Swami805

There's white side plates but not many
The white bars and bases you see around were from a period when they were given to several SD boats for field testing. They used different combinations of bars and bases to they could keep track of what boat they were on. Over time most of the reels "walked " off the boats and made their way into the public. I think the white parts were only on the 500/600 sizes   They're not pure white but off white cream color sort of

Are those white ones worth more then the red and purple parts?

Swami805

Hard to say what they're worth. I've never seen a white Newell from the factory, just some white side plates and those cream colored parts from the loaners. I'd think the loaner parts would be about the same as the other colored parts if they're not beat up
