We fished in about 70 ft of water .  A warm night for sure .

70' is not a bad depth.  We were fishing 500-700 feet a few weeks ago, with 64 and 80 ounce leads.

It's been a rough summer, I was just getting onto my feet again and sprained an ankle today. I'll be down in Canaveral october 5-11, and body permitting I'll fish every day. We'll see.

Couple comments. I am not sure where Joe is getting his depths, but my metered braid suggested our range was 100-140' deep. we were more than 20 miles out.

You can't keep Goliath or Bermuda grouper. The adage is "round tail - go to jail"

We all ate our fill of pan seared cajun snapper 2 nights in a row. the rest is headed to the freezer.

Seas were worse than any previous trip I've been on. But from my understanding still not that bad. My legs are sore. But then I spend most my week sitting.
