Quote from: Bill B on September 11, 2024, 10:11:44 PMI was thinking about making another run of hay hooks to drag fish around at the landing.  Any interest?  Obviously no charge.  And yes they are guaranteed to rust like the others. Bill

Bill I love mine!!!!

I will order 40-60 lb 30m fluorocarbon spools. They are 20 bucks each if anyone needs them. If anyone wants lighters for a reason, let me know—weight and how many you want.
cheers,

Hi Bill, yes, I would like a hay hook and thanks!

It may not be very productive,
but it's sure going to be interesting!

4 would do it but no one brings only what they need..... that's no fun.

I'm sure many outfits never get wet.

Hopefully Hurricane Helene will not affect my travel plans from ATL to SAN in 5 short days. Even though I'm 100 miles inland from the FL Panhandle, I'm centered in the projected path. But I'm as prepared as I'm gonna get. Break out the popcorn and let her rip.
Only 6 years ago (2018) I was on the SoA 8 day when Hurricane Michael took almost the same path and wiped out our condo at Mexico Beach FL and did major damage to my house outside Albany. At least I don't have the condo to worry about anymore.
It would be nice to ship some of the 6-8" of projected rainfall out to CA to help with the fires.
I'm not bringing any rods. I do have a case of chartreuse hand grenades for when the bite is slow. Redneck fishing!!!

You need to invite me up to Kerr Lake for some striper action. Haven't fished that lake in about 50 or 60 years. We called it "Bugs Island" back when I was a kid.
The Tarheel Thrasher hasn't had much action since I sold the FL condo. Did take it to Nags Head/Ocracoke a few months ago for some YFT fishing at the canyon. Got skunked, as did most of the other 50+ boats out there. Then the wind picked up and we cancelled day 2. 30 hours of driving for 12 hours of fishing.
