Reel Repair by Alan Tani

Hi
I did a bad thing
after starting to clean a reel I got on an eBay purchase , I unscrewed the bail arm section with the spring and the spring escaped
I found it and a small plastic part that goes in the spring but am unsure if I am missing anything else
Can anyone help please

After looking at the plastic part in the bail arm spring
There seems to be a pin missing that holds the assembly to the bail arm
I have cut a small 1 inch nail down to join the spring assembly to the bail arm
Hope it works

This is before I cut the nail down
