Thanks again for more information.  When I moved to Alaska I sold my acetylene stuff.  Dumb yes.  I only have propane and tig for heat sources.  Hence my post.  Also I have started to like the brass colors more as we move to the brighter sst stuff.    We are very lucky to have so many options.   Thanks 🙏 an cheers 🍻

Without a lathe, it's easiest to hack saw it a little long and file or sand it down to the proper length while cleaning up the cut marks.

I have some short height rings of the correct ID and OD. It's a Penn part. Not sure which reel it originally came from. I know that 3 stacked up was the right height for a Penn 130. I was gonna send some to Brian (by that I mean shellbelly, come to think of it we haven't seen him in a while) but Tom decided to machine some for him before I could send them.

I can send some your way if they help.
Any machine is a smoke machine if you use it wrong enough.
