Spoke with the Landing this morning, we should expect fishing around 300' or a little shallower.    :fish
It may not be very productive,
but it's sure going to be interesting!

I get back to SD on 5/15 and if I drove down I could have made this.  Have fun.
Hi, my name is Lee and I have a fishing gear problem.

I have all of the answers, yup, no, maybe.

Bill thanks for calling, I was gonna call a little closer to the date and verify the depth. I like the sound of 300' or less.

Still 6 spots left if anyone else is interested!!!!!

Weather is shat for the 5/12-5/15 3 day. If it gets canceled I will try to come down.  I should know by 5/9.

That stinks about the weather for your 3 day but we'd be happy to have you join us. I'd be nice to meet you

crud.  that's way too high.  i wouldn't be surprised if they cancel.  if anyone wants to hang out at the clubhouse, there are probably going to be some weeds to pull.  :-\

If you have tequila I can pull weeds  :d  I would be in for some inshore black/blue bass in the kelp fishing.

Bill is using Windy, which defaults to the ECMWF model but can show others, and Alan is using Windfinder, which I believe is GFS only. Maybe that is the reason?

Looks to me like at this moment (Tuesday AM), ECMFW is showing winds up to 18 knots around 11 AM on Saturday off Morro Bay.  GFS shows up to 13.

NWS is forecasting 10-20 knots, which encompasses both.

If you believe the experts, ECMWF tends to be more accurate than GFS.  My experience in Baja where I watch more closely is that ECMWF is right much more often, but both models tend to merge as the forecast periods shorten.  They deviate a lot long term, especially during the formation of a big event like a potential hurricane.

Hope that you guys get good enough weather.  We all know that the forecast can still shift a quite bit between now and then.

Regardless of forecast model, it all kinda looks like Morro Bay!  I think you guys are gonna have a great trip!! - john
