Packing the truck now and headed out in about an hour (0800hrs).  Have the chili and corn bread too  :d .  Bill
It may not be very productive,
but it's sure going to be interesting!

See you gents tonight at the clubhouse.....unless they cancel

Just talked to the Landing and they said to expect to fish around 400' but all depths are open. If its breezy I'd expect we'd stay shallower than that....

Well the forecast took a dive again, it's not pretty   It went from 10-15 in the morning to 15-25 in the morning to 35 in the afternoon. Nice swell at 8 seconds to boot. Ugh

Please use your good common sense on this, guys.

Maybe the weather will change overnight —- but it doesn't look like it will.

When the forecast changes for the worse less than 10 hours ahead of launching —- it becomes pretty real, as well as likely.

Be safe.  Charter might scrub the trip tomorrow morning.

On the Eastern side of the Sierras, there have been plenty of times when we went to Bridgeport Reservoir early in the morning — only to find strong winds and whitecaps.  We just called it a no-boat day, and  headed up to some of the smaller lakes to fish the shore.  There will always be more days to fish when prudence and caution are being followed.

We had a great trip and caught boat limits of rockfish and a couple of lingcod! The weather/conditions were terrible to start the day but it actually got nicer as the day went on. We started out in 400' feet and worked that depth a lot of the day. Lots of chilli peppers and beautiful vermilion rockfish were caught throughout the day. Towards the end of the trip we moved into the shallows and fished under 100' depth. Several lings were caught in the shallows including mine. All the AT crew caught limits. A couple of us headed back to the Tani clubhouse and had a great dinner. Once again it was a great trip with amazing friend. Thanks Alan for opening your home to us!

It was fun fun trip, thanks PJ for for getting it started. The trip up the coast was a bit of an e-ticket but the weather gods smiled on us when it mattered. Nice sacks of chillis and limits of fat vermillion rock fish
A few years ago  Ted sent me a modern Penn sea boy, I put it to good use and it worked flawlessly. thanks Ted!

The fish just wanted to die. We were fishing double dropper loops, 2 hooks and a sinker. One guy got 3, 2 on the hooks and the third ate the sinker

Looks like a fun trip.

I like the Seaboy reel, they are perfect for lingcod and rockfish.
