Lookin for a schematic for this reel. It needs a drag knob too. Any help appreciated. Too nice a reel to leave alone. Thank you.

Have you tried reelschematic or mikesreelrepair ? Both dot coms. Shimano has schematics too. Older Shimano parts are sometimes hard to come by. Once you get a part number, You may find the knob was used on other Similar sized Shimano reels.

First place I look is reelscmatics. com. Called Shimano when I did not find it in their web site. Looked at Mikes and called them this morning but they are SUPER busy so I could not talk to the parts person. Looked on Eba too. Need a number to speed things along.

Reel schematics lists a Stella 1000FA and drag knob is RD 8065. Not sure if 1000F and 1000FA are the same or different? I thought Shimano designated a new model with A, and then subsequent letters as models were updated. Hopefully someone knows if A means first version or second.

Yeah, I saw that RD 8065 and the 1000FA. Just need to confirm it is a match.

It's not an FA, the holes around the spool skirt are wrong.

But with that said, highly likely there's a bunch of different drag knobs that will fit it.
