What parts are available for the 349H to hot rod it? I've seen some frames, but is there anything else?

I have 5 CF washer kits for the 349 but none left for the 349H.

They are not the same but a 113H SS gearsleve can be used in the 349/349H.

Jigmaster 506 cross bars can replace the round posts if you do not plan on a solid frame reel and if you can find one aluminum spools. I have several  topless 349 and 349H reels with 5 and 7 CF washer drag stacks, aluminum spools,  my handle arms (no longer available)  and Alan nice handles.  I prefer the single lever reels with aluminum spools for fishing.

I have a good supply of new gear sets for both the 349 and 349H reels.

A few of my 349/349H reels from before Cortez Conversons started making frames. I have one each  every one of Tom's frames.

Hi, my name is Lee and I have a fishing gear problem.

I have all of the answers, yup, no, maybe.

Thank you the 349H I bought came with a Tiburon frame. So I can put a 113h gear sleeve in it correct? Also will the 113H SS bridge with double dogs work?

I added a dog to a 349H a few years ago, I posted it somewhere on here. It wasn't too hard, a little dremel to the side plate, fashioned a spring and the dog attached to a frame screw. It's on here somewhere but I can't find it
Take a few minutes and look at the side plate, there's plenty of room, just need to get a little creative. The reel is in storage, I can dig it out if you need to see what I did
Do what you can with that you have where you are

No, the long 15-349 AR dog engages the smaller diameter ratchet of a 113H gearsleve OK.  You can file the engagement surface to match the new contact angle.  I cut the SS 15-349 dogs I sold at 2 angles for 349 and 113H gearsleve.

You can use doubled thinner and smaller diameter 113H CF washers od Smooth Drag 349H CF washers if Dawn still stocks them.

I think Smooth Drag sold thin 349H metal and CF washers at one time but my old memory sucks.

I wish I still had 349H 5 washer kits but I have several for the 349.  I also have conversion kits (yokes, pinion and main gears)  to convert both ways and new gear sets for 349 and 349H reels.

Like Lee, I'm a big fan of these when 'tanked up'.
Here's mine (with the double-dog approach), if of interest:

Good luck with the build - be sure to post some pics.

I picked up each of Tom's 349/49H frame versions including an all metal one.

As Lee mentioned, a great upgrade is ditching the heavy cast bronze spool for a lightweight newell aluminum spool. BTW, Newell is the only one that ever made an aluminum spool for a 349h

All of the ones I fish with have aluminum spools, far liter and easier to use. A aluminum spool might be the best upgrade.
