Any idea on history. It was made for Horrocks - Ibboston in USA. Made by DQ? Or Zangi?

Midway Tommy

Steven,

It was made in Germany, circa 1954ish, by Triplex, AKA Wilhelm Thoner Co. They had manufacturing factories in Donauworth, Kenzingen & Munuich. During WW II Thoner moved from Germany and manufactured reels in Czechoslovakia under the Sol brand. After WW II Wilhelm Thoner moved back to Germany and obtained a license to manufacture fishing reels again, which ended up being Triplex.
Love those open face spinning reels! (Especially ABU & ABU/Zebco Cardinals)

Many thanks. Obviously hard to find. Any collectible value? Or just fish this reel

Not excessively, probably $35-50, depending on who's looking.
