 Soap and water to clean , keep up on Tetanus shot every 10 years .  As for the Rye whisky that may help get you hooked !

Years ago, I heard the same stuff Dave mentioned about Hydrogen Peroxide, it can do some damage and prevent healing. Stuff is pretty acidic. Works well on ear wax.
Fishing tackle is an art form and all fish caught on the right tackle are"Gfish"!

Let it bleed for a while and cauterize with hydrogen peroxide or dark Hawaiian rum.  If it swells later soak in Epson salt and water as hot as you can stand to draw out fluids.
