fishing in general was tough.  very small baits, using heavy line, birds and sea lions stealing the bait constantly.  still scratched out some nice fish, but it was definitely scratch fishing.

we had an absolutely hilarious conversation about bathroom scales on the trip.  i checked this morning and i'm up by 5 pounds to 153. gotta get my weight back down!!!

Boss, I hope that's a typo.  Gaining almost 50% of your body weight on an 10-day would take some doing without lead weights in your pockets.  But for the 8-day I did gain 7.5#.... - john

I gained 5.4 lbs on the trip. And I ordered half portions every meal. My main problem was I did a lot of reading all hours of the day and night, and I have a tendency to snack while I read.
The food has always been very good on the SoA, in both quantity and quality, but I think this was the best ever. Kudos to Rhea. Hope he's a permanent fixture in the galley.

I bet it had to do with how Women calibrate the scale !  The Feel Good Number .

Sorry, yes, that should be a 5 pound gain, not 56. I've been hanging out with Ben here in Cayucos.  I think I've gained another couple of pounds.
