Hi all, This post is from the Bay of Islands in NZ.

I was asked to assemble this reel (that someone else had disassembled).  I have made good progress, but would like to check the orientation of a fish plate on the drive side.  Would anyone have a schematic / exploded view / manual for this reel?

DAM, that looks like a strong reel based on the look of the frame and line capacity.  Found this thread which may be helpful:  https://alantani.com/index.php?topic=37448.0

looking at this reel seat, my first though is that it is manufactured in asia. i know i've seen that hole pattern before.
send me an email at alantani@yahoo.com for questions!

It's been my experience that whenever there's a "Designed & Engineered in _ _ _ _" on a reel it means it was manufactured somewhere in Asia and they're trying to pull one of your legs.  ::)
Love those open face spinning reels! (Especially ABU & ABU/Zebco Cardinals)

A majority of the D-A-M reels of this more modern vintage, are designed in Germany —-  but produced in Asia —- primarily in a long-standing partnership with Okuma.

Okuma is a very good tackle manufacturer.
