I been eyeballing a stand of bamboo for awhile & got me a new pole for the creek today.
I am getting it ready for spring time,maybe some decals & spar urethane 

Coworker was stationed in England said they use $1200 cane poles for fishing contests,forget the name?


I know a man with a field of large bamboo I can get all I want to build Gilligan's Island bench or table one day.

I don't know what kind of bamboo that is, but it looks really good.  Straight, small nodes (knuckles) and slow taper.  Start looking for a tip-top with a really large tube diameter.

Not sure the bamboo type either except free,its heavy assuming still green?

Hang it by the tip as it dries.
