Hi, my name is Lee and I have a fishing gear problem.

I have all of the answers, yup, no, maybe.

Welcome to the board from L.I. N.Y. It's nice to have another Newell Wacko here.
I have not failed.  I just found 10,000 ways that won't work.

Aloha.  E komo mai.

What makes you refer to yourself as a Newell Nut?  Newell nuts look pretty much the same as other nuts I've seen.  The translation to this question and comment is:  "Please tell us about yourself and your collection".
I used to be in a constant state of improvement.  Now I'm in a constant state of renovation.

Welcome, you nut you ;D.
Looks like you've arrived to the right place, enjoy your stay.

Newell Nut

My collection started 20 years ago and quite simple with a 540 3.2 which is a great bottom fishing reel. I added another. Got married a few years after that and my wife loves fishing too. I decided to get her something a little lighter and this is when I discovered that Newells are not being made anymore so I started searching. I have added 20 to my collection from 220 to 540 with half of them being P models.
I now like buying the used ones and cleaning them up and upgrading the bearings and drags. I really like the simplicity of design and strength and corrosion resistance and of course the light weight. Almost all of them now have Tiburon frames and a few have the 533NK kits.

So I went from Newell user to a Newell Nut in a short time. Besides that some else on the forum has my same first name so I quickly chose Newell Nut to register. Seemed to fit okay.

Mr. Nut, it sounds like you are in the right place.  Glad to have ya as a memeber.
:D I talk with every part I send out and each reel I repair so that they perform at the top of their game. :D
