Of course, I have an echeded spool on my old Senator. I thought to start here and see if anyone has an old one that's in decent shape. I am trying to help a kid out who's getting into shark fishing. Or direct me otherwise. And yes, I looked on eBay; all the reels have a line hiding the spool.

Can you explain better what the problem is with the spool?

There are two things I don't like about fishing.  Getting up early in the morning and boats.  The rest of it is fun.
