I picked up a pilot reel today because it looked interesting. They had some different ideas about the clicker and the clutch. Quite a lot of stainless too. The spool shaft is awful beefy for a plastic spool. I like the frame, and the dog spring is just too easy. The tail plate is threaded twist off, just a 1/4 turn. You can leave the handle attached and pull off the right plate. I have to find some suitable screws for the stand. I guess the rivets failed and someone put zinc screws and nuts on it.

Yet another one I never heard of. Looks pretty sturdy. I've failed to check my screws and washers several times and ended-up with a corroded mess. Using a magnet to test for zinc works, but there are some fasteners that are only slightly magnet attracted. Maybe Chinese products?
Fishing tackle is an art form and all fish caught on the right tackle are"Gfish"!
